Origami Shuriken
First, let me begin by saying that this information was hard to acquire. When I was about 12 I broke into class during the recess to get this "technology". I dissassembled another classmate's star and stole his secret to making this oragami shuriken (version 2). I guess I should give Eddie credit for this star.
The other version (version 1) is pretty common knowledge though, and I don't remember when I learned it, but it was many years ago.
Below are diagrams for making 2 versions of the ninja shaken:
VERSION 1: This version is composed of two segments, is very simple, and quite sturdy. It is relatively massive so it will fly pretty far. Unless your folds are sharp and neat though, it will tend to curve in flight.
Please be careful, this could easily fly into someone's eye and damage their sight forever. Only throw at each other if you are wearing safety goggles, and still be prepared for it to break the skin sometimes.
